Fresh from competing up north the previous weekend William Lum and Andrew Roberts then went south to play in the Melbourne International Open on the 17th-18th March.

William had two fights in -60 kg Senior Men, but didn’t make a place. Throwing caution to the winds, he entered -66 kg Veteran Men and received 2nd place.

Andrew Roberts won his first fight in -90 kg Senior Men then lost to the player who would eventually come first in his division – he went on to win again, placing tied 5th.
